Back in 1998, a concerned British parent decided to delve deeper into her son’s listening habits and , well, his appearance.  See, the mother was troubled that her son was a devoted fan of Cradle of Filth.  In order to understand her son and the phenomenon surrounding the band, the mother went on tour with the band for a week to experience what a night of living demons is like.  That video report, in three parts, is embedded below.  I present Living with the Enemy.  Enjoy!

Devilement, the new band fronted by Dani Filth of Cradle of Filth, has debuted it’s new video Even Your Blood Group Rejects Me.  The track premiered on Nuclear Blasts’ YouTube channel late last week.  The track comes from the forthcoming The Great and Secret Show, which will be released on Halloween.

From 2005 through 2013, Digby Pearson ran an “Ask Earache: blog where he answered fan question.  Since March of last year the blog has been inactive, but I’ve selected some of the more interesting and informative posts here for your reading pleasure.

Question:  Since you’re very open and honest about the “business” of the music biz- can you just help set it straight on what the bands make as their “pay” JUST from album sales/downloads and what is Earache responsible for?

Question:  Is there a specific reason that there were none, or a very minimum number of black metal bands signed to Earache records? I notice the only black metal band Earache obtained in sometime is Annal Nathrakh but that’s about all I can see from the catalog of bands.  Is it based on preference (maybe Earache isn’t too fond of the black metal genre) or is it based on just the idea that Earache is solely for death metal and grindcore?
